Terms of Use

The agreement covering your use of StuckBTC. It is written plainly, because terms nobody can read protect nobody.

In short

StuckBTC is a free read and relay tool. It never takes custody of Bitcoin, never asks for a key, and never guarantees that a transaction will confirm. Using the site means you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

Version 1.0 · effective 29 August 2026

1. Acceptance and scope

These terms apply to everything at stuckbtc.com: the transaction checker, the relay, the guides, the published measurement file, and any page reachable from the site. By loading a page or submitting a transaction ID you accept them.

We refer to the operator of the site as "we" and "us", and to you as "you". The operator is an independent party reachable at [email protected]. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any mining pool, wallet, exchange, or accelerator service, including every service named anywhere on this site.

2. What the service actually is

You give us a public Bitcoin transaction ID, or raw transaction hex. We do three things with it.

All three are free. There is no account, no signup, and nothing to buy in order to use any of it.

3. What the service is not

This section matters more than any other, because most complaints in this category come from people who were sold a different idea of what an accelerator is.

4. No custody, and no access to keys

We never request and have no use for a seed phrase, a private key, a wallet password, an extended public key, or a wallet connection. A transaction ID is a public identifier that is already visible to anyone in the world, so sharing it with us gives us no power over your funds.

If anyone asks you for a seed phrase, it is theft

Including anyone claiming to be us. There is no legitimate reason for any accelerator, support agent, or recovery service to need your recovery words. Handing them over hands over every coin in the wallet, permanently.

5. No guaranteed confirmation, and why

We do not promise that a transaction will confirm, or that it will confirm within any period. This is not caution for its own sake. It follows from how Bitcoin works.

Miners assemble blocks from the mempool by fee rate. Blocks arrive on a random schedule averaging ten minutes, and the competing set of transactions changes constantly as new ones arrive and old ones are mined. Any statement of the form "your transaction will confirm in the next block" is a probability being sold to you as a certainty. We give you the fee rate the next block is actually clearing and let you draw your own conclusion.

Where our diagnosis says a transaction should confirm soon and it does not, that is the network behaving normally rather than a failure of the service. Where a node refuses your transaction, we show you the reason it gave rather than hiding it behind a success indicator.

6. Acceptable use

You may use the free checker as often as you reasonably need for your own transactions, link to any page here, and quote our published measurements with attribution.

You may not:

7. Rate limits

Broadcast requests are limited per network address over a rolling window. The limit exists to protect the public nodes we relay to, which are run by volunteers and are not ours to overload. If you reach it, waiting clears it. We may adjust the limit without notice, and we may block traffic that ignores it.

8. Third party networks and services

The relay depends on public Bitcoin nodes and explorers operated by other people. The site also loads a webfont from a third party and, on the contact page, submits your message through a form handling service. We do not control any of them, cannot guarantee their availability or accuracy, and are not responsible for their conduct. Which third parties see what is set out in the privacy policy.

The Bitcoin network itself is a third party in exactly the same sense. It is a public system nobody operates, and its behaviour is not something we can promise anything about.

9. Our published measurements

Figures quoted across this site are measured from live network data each morning and republished at /data/facts.json. We publish the raw file so that any claim we make can be checked rather than taken on trust.

Those measurements are accurate to the moment they were taken and to the sources they were taken from. They are observations of a public network, not guarantees about it, and they can be wrong if an upstream source was wrong. If you find an error, tell us and we will correct it. We would rather be corrected than defended.

Where we describe another service, we are describing what we observed on the date stated. Services change. A page reporting that an accelerator returned an error last month is a record of a test, not a permanent statement about that company.

10. No financial, legal, or tax advice

Nothing here is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. The guides explain a technical system. Decisions about your money are yours, and if the amounts matter to you, take proper advice from somebody qualified and accountable.

11. Intellectual property

The text, design, code, and original measurements on this site belong to the operator. You may quote and link to them with attribution, which we actively encourage. A wholesale copy of the site or its guides is not permitted. Bitcoin itself, the protocol and the network, belongs to nobody, which is rather the point of it.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, that the relay will reach every node, that upstream sources will be available, or that any diagnosis will match what the network subsequently does.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site, including loss of funds, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss. That includes losses connected to a transaction that did not confirm, a diagnosis you acted on, a third party service you found through a page here, or an interruption to the site.

The service is free and we take no payment from you, so there is no fee to refund and no commercial relationship to unwind. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud.

14. Indemnity

If your use of the service in breach of these terms causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of dealing with it.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are recorded in the table below with the date they took effect, so you can see what changed rather than simply being told that something did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the current version.

16. Governing law and disputes

We do not publish a company name or claim a jurisdiction, so it would be dishonest to assert a court that binds you. Instead, raise any dispute with us first at [email protected], and we will engage with it in good faith and in writing.

Whatever these terms say, any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country you live in continues to apply. No wording on this page removes a right the law gives you.

17. Severability and entire agreement

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the whole of the agreement between us about the service.

18. Contact

Questions about these terms, corrections to a measurement, and security disclosures all go to [email protected] or through the contact form.

We have no phone number

There is no StuckBTC telephone support line. Any phone number presented as ours, in a search result, an advertisement, or a message, is fraudulent.
